Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir ministers regularly in the Morning Worship Service. This talented and committed groups of singers uses a variety of music, ranging from classical, traditional, and mildly contemporary. They are an inspiration to the worship life of our congregation. New members are always welcome! Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

 

Chancel Ringers

Our Chancel Ringers ring a 3-octave set of Schulmerich handbells. They are a talented group of ringers who perform regularly in the Morning Worship Service and occasionally at other church functions. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Interested in ringing? Contact Jim Hepler. Basic music reading skills are required.

 

Youth Choir

Our youth choir is composed of 6th-12th grade youth. We have 23 members (2008-09) who love using their voices in the praise and worship of God. A variety of musical styles are used. Annual summer choir tour is a big event!

 

Worship Team

A worship team leads the music for The Gathering, our Sunday evening non-traditional service held in The Gathering Room adjacent to the Sanctuary.

 

Children's Music

Children's music programs are conducted through The Children's Center. A special room in the Music Suite is dedicated for teaching musical skills to children. Contact Jim for information.

 

Ensembles

Groups such as Harmony (women's trio) and Men's Ensemble (4-part music in a variety of styles) sing regularly in worship. Let Jim know if you're interested in singing in or forming an ensemble.

 

Summer Choir Camp and Concert

Summer Choir Camp, held the week in July after Independence Day, is a big event at FUMC! Two groups -- children's camp (grades 1-5) and youth camp (grades 6-12) learn music to perform at a concert on the final (Friday) night of camp. Contact Jim for information.
