

Tommy Bostick retired after many years as Purchasing Agent at Delta Woodside. A Scotland County, N.C., native, he served 30 years on the Rescue Squad, and has been a Sherriff Department reserve since 1987.
Dexe Bostick is a Marlboro County native, and is currently the Mayor of Bennettsville. She served 12 years on the City Council, and has worked in the insurance and farm service fields. Tommy and Dexe are parents of three: Tommy Bostick Jr. and Gray Bostick of Bennettsville, and Sandra Bostick Hatcher of Mount Pleasant.

Erin joins by transfer of membership. She works for Wachovia Bank. Johnny Freeman (right), Erin’s husband, works for Terminix in Bennettsville. We are happy to welcome this family to our faith family!
Chris and Paula Robyn - Chris and Paula are native New Englanders, and we welcome them to SC! Chris is self-employed, and Paula is an art teacher at Marlboro County High School.
Heather Moody joined First UMC by transfer of membership on Pentecost Sunday, May 31. She joins her husband, John, who is a lifelong member. Hailey Moody was transferred on Pentecost Sunday from the baptismal roll upon completion of her confirmation class. Pictured left to right are John (holding Jake), Ariel (rear), Heather, Hailey and Hannah (in front). Jake was baptized on Pentecost Sunday, so this was a great day of spiritual celebration for the Moodys!

Rebecca Bostick is a native of Bennettsville, and joins First United Methodist Church by profession of faith.
Rebecca is a Customer Service Representative for the City of Bennettsville, and is the 2009 Chair of Marlboro County Relay for Life.
She is the daughter of Tommy Jr. and Becky Bostick of Bennettsville, and is a member of The Chancel Choir at FUMC.
Wade Ronald "Ronnie" Crow is a Marlboro County native, and has been a Bennettsville attorney many years.
Ronnie joins his wife, Elaine, who has been a member of First UMC for several years. Elaine's father, the late Rev. Tom Evatt, was a minister at First UMC in the 1960's and 70's. Return to New Member Box

Thomas, Joey, Walker and Denise Jones. Joey Jones is Manager of Farmer Home Furniture in Laurinburg, NC. Denise is Spanish teacher at Marlboro Academy. Walker is a 3rd grade student at Marlboro Academy, and Thomas is in the Toddler Class at the First United Methodist Children's Place. Denise is ringing in The Chancel Ringers at FUMC.
Brandon King, who was confirmed in our church, has been joined in membership by his wife, Christy. Christy was baptized on profession of faith, and their son Joshua Ryan King was also baptized on Sunday, June 27, 2010. Joshua was placed on our preparatory roll. Brandon is the son of Donald and Katherine King and the grandson of Carlisle Smith
Nicky and Jennifer Jacobs and their children, Berkeley and Beckham, joined our family of faith on June 6, 2010. Nicky works for the City of Bennettsville, and Jennifer is the owner and operator of Studio 102, a hair salon in downtown Bennettsville. Berkeley and Beckham are both in The Children’s Center at First UMC. We welcome this family to our church!
Josh Kinard is a Marlboro County native. He is married to Ashleigh Meggs Kinard, who was raised in our church family. Josh works for Pepsi. Welcome, Josh!
